Until I did the research for this article I had no idea what Simenon's back story was either.
I loved a British produced Maigret TV series that starred Rupert Davies and Ewan Solon.
Thanks for dropping by Ray and Patti.Kerriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13581470363339796352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8273911883856580200.post-16733947510007266262008-10-18T01:30:00.000+10:302008-10-18T01:30:00.000+10:30Maigret is my husband's favorite series detective....Maigret is my husband's favorite series detective. Always short and forever compelling and real detective fiction that never overstayed it's welcome.Rayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18154296143024548830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8273911883856580200.post-80049354223865600312008-10-11T09:20:00.000+10:302008-10-11T09:20:00.000+10:30Glad you have discovered Michael Robotham Scott. I think the Maigret books may feel a litte dated to you but they are often just a bit bigger than a "novella" so don't take long to read. Since I am in the process of self-educating myself in the world of crime fiction, I am tasting a little bit of everything. You can follow my progress over at my blog where I post weekly reviews. I think I'm going to have to add Simenon's name to my list. Thanks.Scott D. Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15293540073601809197noreply@blogger.com
