I list Simon Brett amongst my favourite authors, and this latest offering did not disappoint. Classic British cozy. - Australians are fascinated with crime fiction
If you are in Melbourne next weekend then the Crime & Justice festival is the place to be. - Fifty years on

Frances Fyfield won the 2008 Duncan Lawrie Dagger with BLOOD FROM A STONE, and fellow blogger, author Martin Edwards won the Short Story Award for "The Bookbinder's Apprentice". - The temerity to write a review
I entered into a journalist vs. amateur book reviewers discussion. Should some amateur reviewers keep their thoughts to themselves? - REVIEW: THE DARKEST HOUR, Katherine Howell

One of those authors whose books I always enjoy
Lots of interesting links, thanks! Interesting about Fyfeld. I really enjoyed Blind Date and confidently expected to like the rest of her work as much. But Perfectly Pure and Good annoyed me so much that I could barely finish it.
ReplyDeleteSome good links there! THanks.
ReplyDeleteHere is my SS post
I really enjoyed "The temerity to write a review". It's interesting to see what others say about us "amateur reviewers".
ReplyDeleteGreat list of links you've go there. "The Temerity To Write A Review" was fantastic. Personally I feel the amateur reviews are usually more honest and enjoyable to read.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday :)
ReplyDeleteOff to check out your links.

Thanks for your comments folks
ReplyDeleteI rather liked Perfectly Pure and Good, but I haven't read Frances Fyfield for a few years now. I must rectify that, particularly in the light of her just-awarded Dagger.
ReplyDeleteKerrie, I am so impressed with the energy, organisation and fun of your blogging. In fact, I am lost in admiration. Well done to you. You deserve the "Bloggers' Dagger". (Why isn't there one?)
Thanks Maxine. I think blogging has become an addiction with me. I learn a lot too from the examples of my online friends (like you) too
