Our best crime fiction authors in 2008

Yesterday I listed our top 21 books selected by 40 crime fiction readers.
38 authors figured on our Tops list 3 times or more.
When you look at the choices this way, a different view emerges, that of authors we liked best in 2008.
The list below shows how many times an author was chosen in individual people's top 10 books.
This is a list to take to the library or the bookshop.

  1. Thanks for compiling this list Kerrie. I've been matching the titles against our public library's holdings and many are available. Of course, that just increases my anxiety level since I think I should also be reading the classics. I generally feel that I don't have enough of a historical context for the mystery/crime genre. Maybe I'll alternate, one old, one new.
