Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
I borrow many of my books from the library, and I notice that many other borrowers put particular marks in books, like a ring around a particular page number, initials on the back fly leaf etc.
I don't do that sort of thing myself. If I want to mark particular spots in a book that I'm reading, to remember for a review for example, I use a post it note.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Book marks are my favourite place-keeper, but I have been known to use whatever is handy, such as an airline boarding pass, a receipt, or just a folded piece of paper.
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
I rarely read any non-fiction. In fact I limit my choices even further than that, so I rarely read anything that is not crime fiction. I'm never at a loss for anything to read though, with a Mount TBR of gigantic size.
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time?
I actually usually have two books on the go at once. One that is in paper format, and one and audio book that I listen to driving to and from work. I can usually manage to do that without getting confused, although once the names of the main characters were so similar that I had trouble remembering the plots.
I can't read two printed books at once. One always wins!
My BBAW Giveaways
Put your hand up for a free book - 2 restricted to Australia/New Zealand and 2 for world wide eligibility.
Why MYSTERIES? Because that is the genre I read.
Why PARADISE? Because that is where I live.
Among other things, this blog, the result of a 2008 New Year's resolution,
will act as a record of books that I've read, and random thoughts.
