I also found that my Kindle was more than worth its weight. Not everything that I read was on the Kindle as I still have many made-from-trees books on my shelves (at least 200 that I haven't read) but I was able to cut my books-in-the-bag load down to just 2 or 3.
As you can see from the ratings on the list below, I had a pretty good month too.
- 4.3, HIDE & SEEK, Ian Rankin (30 April)- audio
- 4.3, WINTER OF SECRETS, Vicki Delany (29 April)
- 4.7, CONTAINMENT, Vanda Symon (27 April)
- 4.2, DARK WINTER, William Dietrich (24 April)- Kindle
- 4.8, THE PANIC ZONE, Rick Mofina (17 April) - Kindle
- 4.5, TIED UP IN TINSEL, Ngaio Marsh (17 April)
- 4.6, FREEZE FRAME, Peter May (13 April)- Kindle
- 5.0, BLEED FOR ME, Michael Robotham (12 April)
- 4.0, TAROKO GORGE, Jacob Ritari (11 April)- Kindle
- 4.5, DEEP WATER, Peter Corris (9 April)
- 5.0, THE MAN FROM BEIJING, Henning Mankell (6 April)- Kindle
- 4.4, RUMPOLE and the PENGE BUNGALOW MURDERS, John Mortimer (3 April)

So what about you? Do you have a post with your best reads so far this year?
What books can you recommend for me? - crime fiction of course
Check out the remainder of my reads this year
Kerrie - Thanks very much for this list of your top reads. I find it very, very helpful to have people's "best" lists as I figure out what to add to the TBR list.
ReplyDeleteYou are making good use of that Kindle...I am curious about whether it has made you acquire even more books. I found when I started seriously getting into audio books I soon started building up a new load of TBR (or TBL) books on my computer in addition to the physical ones and now have more than ever. I am scared that if I get an e-reader of some kind I'll just have more books that I can't possibly read.
ReplyDeleteI've got 70 books on the Kindle Bernadette so I think the answer is yes. And I don't "mormally" read with the Kindole so much - I try to whittle down the physical tBR
ReplyDeleteMargot, I like perusing other people's lists too, and collect quite a few titles from there. Trouble is there are just too many books being published
