Giving old books a purpose in life


I'm not sure I would ever do this with a book, but it may be a project that would appeal to you.

When I was a child, I was always fascinated by stories where things were secreted into hollowed out books like this one:

And how about this for having your books close to hand? Not very comfortable looking though...

    Love the bookcase, but I could never do that to a book - even an old book I wouldn't read. The chair is neat too.

    I think I would need a whole 3 Piece Suite for my TBR Pile. Love the Bookcase but I could only Sacrifice my Trashy Romances from the early 80's for it. As for the hidden Treasures I just bought myself a BookBook for my my new Laptop it's along those lines http://twelvesouth.com/products/bookbook/

    Life purpose is a personal thing. Everyone has different purpose and different way to find it. What apply to me might not apply to you and vice versa.

    I’ve written above that finding life purpose takes time so don’t expect to find it soon. It’s a journey and rather than complaining about your journey you’d better enjoy it.

    That chair actually looks really uncomfortable.

    I'm not sure I would mind the bookcase too much, though. As much as I have a deep bond with the content of books, I also love their aesthetics. And that bookcase looks pretty great.
