Why MYSTERIES? Because that is the genre I read. Why PARADISE? Because that is where I live.
Among other things, this blog, the result of a 2008 New Year's resolution, will act as a record of books that I've read, and random thoughts.

Merry Christmas to all
It will be a hot one this year.
The weather man is promising 40C!
One book suggestion to you in this holiday season is to give a gift to yourself: Read Tana French's latest book, "The Trespasser." It is a gem and shows the writer has transcended even herself on these pages. Feisty, intelligent, courageous woman detective in Dublin's Murder Squad.
Antoinette Conway stands up to the higher-ups and pursues her investigation until its conclusion. Absolutely crackling dialogue. I was silently cheering at some of the comments by Conway. It was my top book of this year, even though I read some other books I loved, like Peter May's Lewis Trilogy and more.
