'Tis official: it is the year of the book in the Smith household!
We successfully completed our Christmas shopping yesterday. Visited 2 bookstores and got the lot.
Not all crime fiction of course: have also catered for the cooks, YAs, footy fans, meticulous record keepers, and young uns.
Why MYSTERIES? Because that is the genre I read.
Why PARADISE? Because that is where I live.
Among other things, this blog, the result of a 2008 New Year's resolution,
will act as a record of books that I've read, and random thoughts.

Kerrie - That's the beauty of books; there really is something out there for just about everyone...
Kerry, Happy Holidays and Happy Reading :)
Oops... sorry for the "y", Kerrie ;)
We also finished our Christmas shopping today. I have ordered plenty of books online, but today my daughters and I went to town to buy a few things we could not buy via the internet.
Ah, books for Christmas - I'll be getting some from Santa as well. Books make the best presents. My new granddaughter will be getting a bunch of books from me as well. I'm going to be the Nana who gives books! :)
Can't go wrong with books! And as far as I'm concerned it's not a real Christmas unless there are some books under the tree.
That's pretty flaming impressive knocking of your list in 2 book stores!!!
BTW. Thanks to you we have discovered the Book Depository. Hmmmmm, speaking of things that will land up under trees...
Happy Holidays!
No holiday is complete without books, meaning I can indulge myself, too, right?
Books so far from those aged 8 through 70.
