Why MYSTERIES? Because that is the genre I read.
Why PARADISE? Because that is where I live.
Among other things, this blog, the result of a 2008 New Year's resolution,
will act as a record of books that I've read, and random thoughts.

Kerrie - I'm so glad you're involved in this group, and I, for one, believe your blog richly deserves an award : ).
I agree with Margot. Your blog does richly deserve these awards. Best of luck.

Thoughts in Progress
Thanks Margot and Mason.
Kerrie you certainly deserve these awards.
not there yet Jose - only a nomintaion submission so far
I find this idea of having to self nominate to be quite foreign for me, because I never like to stand up and say hey I'm fab. We are nominating Historical Tapestry for Best Historical Fiction, but I don't think I will nominate my blog.
Meant to say thought that I am glad that you are nominating yours because you definitely qualify as one of the best mystery blogs.
I agree Marg - apparently their reason is that many of the blogs nominated last year by their readers declined the nomination. But it did feel like having to jump hoops especially having to give the URL of the post where you nominated your own 5 best posts for the category - not an easy task in Blogger as you don't get the URL until you've created the post.
Thanks for the "vote of confidence" - I haven't even been short listed in previous years - you might remember that this category, at least in the first year, was won by a "commercial site" that didn't even seem to be a blog.
I know last year in the romance section for example, a couple of the big blogs declined their nominations but it was more politicial than anything.
You still had to nominate five posts, but I think you were able to just give the direct URLs for those posts rather than one single URL containing those links.
