The Wave that failed

I forgot to mention in the last blog posting that the Mexican Wave scheduled to set a new Guiness Record at this morning's Adelaide Christmas Pageant fizzled out. About 300,000 people line the pageant route and so it looked like the record would be in the bag. But sadly it was not to be. Apparently it got to a group of non-participants and just died.. So there we were waiting near the end of the line, waiting to participate, and all the preparation was for nothing!

Oh, well, there's always next year.
Meanwhile enjoy the wave "float".

There were even lifesavers on hand, murderous pirates and a life boat.
