I was reminded yesterday that it is 3 months since I updated my "countries visited" map.
In reality not a lot has changed in 3 months despite reading 36 books
Here is the map so far this year
Here is the map for the first half of the year - you've got to look very carefully to see the differences :-)
create your own visited country map
Why MYSTERIES? Because that is the genre I read.
Why PARADISE? Because that is where I live.
Among other things, this blog, the result of a 2008 New Year's resolution,
will act as a record of books that I've read, and random thoughts.

What a great map--or maps! Fantastic.
I see some differences in Scandinavia, the Middle East and South America.
I'm trying to figure out what to read for another book from Latin America.
Is there a place where I can look to see the books you've read per continent for the global challenge, to get some ideas--although I am going to read "City of Veils," which I saw posted here, and grabbed it at the library.
Am about 1/3 of the way through Malla Nunn's second book, "Let the Dead Lie," and I give it an A at this point, and wish that's all I had to do today. Although not a fast-paced thriller, it still is in that "unputdownable" category.
Thanks for your great review of her first book. She is quite a writer and should get a lot of accolades and attention...very sensitive, thoughtful writing.
Kathy, my Global Reading Challenge summaries are here
I sometimes go to the challenge website to check what others have read
I have a library copy of Let the Dead Lie that I must get to soon
