Progress Update - 2011 e-book Challenge

I'm reading about a third of my books now on my Kindle.
While I was travelling in May and June it was worth its weight in silver.
On the other hand I am still borrowing books from my local library and I am still reading well over half my books in paper format.

The e-book challenge challenge is hosted at The Lady Bug Reads

I originally set my sights on Obsessed (20 books) in the 2011 E-Book Challenge and that was no problem at all:
  1. 4.8, KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES, Jussi Adler-Olsen
  2. 4.5, VENGEANCE ROAD, Rick Mofina
  3. 4.0, MURDER AT LOST DOG LAKE, Vicki Delany
  4. 4.8, THE LEOPARD, Jo Nesbo
  5. 4.6, RELICS OF THE DEAD, Ariana Franklin
  6. 4.6, THE JANUS STONE, Elly Griffiths
  7. 4.3, THE SERPENT AND THE SCORPION, Clare Langley-Hawthorne
  8. 4.2, DARK WATER, Georgia Blain
  9. 4.2, THE POCKET ESSENTIAL AGATHA CHRISTIE, Mark Campbell
  10. 4.3, MURDER IS EASY, Agatha Christie
  11. 4.8, THE SWEETNESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PIE, Alan Bradley
  12. 4.7, DYING GASP, Leighton Gage
  13. 4.1, THE ROAD TO HELL, Paul Levine
  14. 4.3, FLASH FICTION FOR THE COCKTAIL HOUR, Cathryn Grant
  15. 4.2, DARK BLOOMS, Melissa F. Miller
  16. 4.5, OPERATION NAPOLEON, Arnaldur Indridason
  17. 4.4, CANDIED CRIME, Dorte Jakobsen
  18. 4.7, THE MAN WHO WENT UP IN SMOKE, Maj Sjowall & Per Wahloo
  19. 4.9, BAD INTENTIONS, Karin Fossum
  20. 4.7, PRIME CUT, Alan Carter
So now I am heading for Monomaniacal (100 e-books) and I must say I have serious doubts I will make that one.
Here is my count so far:
  1. 4.4, SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET & Other Creepy Stories, Cheryl Kaye Tardif
  2. 4.3, ASHES TO WATER, Irene Ziegler
  3. 4.5, THE LOCK ARTIST, Steve Hamilton

Kerrie,

You are awesome! This puts most of us to shame. How do you sleep and do basic things like making dinner, doing laundry, etc.?

I am on my 42nd book for the year, and am ignoring other things in order to read. But it's great.

I am just finishing "The House Sitter," by Peter Lovesey. An elderly uncle has read his books for years and liked them.

This is my first, and I'm reading it on a wonderful blogger's recommendation.

It's as well-done as any good, witty police procedural.

Yet I don't see any reviews of his books posted here or at a few other favorite blog.

I am still reading a fair amount on paper too Kerrie but I must admit I am not buying very many in that format these days. I still have a few old pre-orders trickling in and have received some ARCs or gifts in paper format but aside from a few Aussie books that aren't available in eBook format I don't remember the last time I bought or ordered a paper book. I suspect like me you're still getting through the old backlog of paper ones you had on hand?

Kerrie, a great list. I've only read three, but I'm interested at least in another 12 books.

Can I nominate a book for your "to be reviewed" list? "The Empanada Affair", available as a Kindle E-book on Amazon for $0.99 (Amazon US). This is a recently published mystery set in Northwest Argentina's Salta province and in Los Angeles, CA.
